How to split pdf

- Split and download. Click Split PDF. A range gives you one new PDF; every-page splitting downloads a zip with a separate file for each page.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I write the page numbers to extract?
- Use page numbers and ranges separated by commas, like 1-3, 5, 12-14. Pages count from 1, and they're pulled in the order you type them, so 5, 1-2 puts page 5 first. You can even list a page twice if you need a copy of it.
- What's the difference between a range and "every page"?
- A range like 1-3, 5 gives you a single new PDF containing just those pages. "Every page" breaks the whole document into one PDF per page instead, delivered as a zip named page-1.pdf, page-2.pdf, and so on.
- What if I enter a page that doesn't exist?
- FeatherPDF checks your input against the document and tells you when a number is out of range (for example, asking for page 20 of a 10-page file) rather than producing a broken result.
- Is my file uploaded to split it?
- No. The PDF is read and divided in your browser, on your device. Splitting a private contract, statement, or medical record this way never sends it to a server, which is the whole reason to do it locally.
